FAQ

Q: How do I know what size mount will fit my phone?

A: There is a phone fit guide tab on the Mob Mount Switch product page.
To view the phone fit guide tab click here and select the tab titled “What size mount do I need”.

Q: How do I return a package?

A: When returning a package to Mob Armor make sure to follow the return policy outlined here. Please contact us regarding all returns to receive an RMA number. Packages returned without confirmation or an RMA number will result in delayed processing of refund or replacement item.

Q: What is 3M VHB tape?

A: 3M™ VHB™ Tapes are high-strength bonding tapes and a proven alternative to screws, rivets, welds and other mechanical fasteners. Unlike screws or rivets – which join materials at a single point – high-strength bonding tape      permanently adheres one substrate to another while spreading the stress load across the entire length of the joint. Once materials are joined with 3M™ VHB™ Tape a virtually indestructible “weld” is created. http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Adhesives/Tapes/Products

Q: Why doesn’t the 3M VHB tape feel sticky?

A: 3M’s high performance acrylic adhesives tend to be firm and dry to the touch. They are designed to bond materials other than skin. The adhesives used are designed to give optimum performance and adhesion to automotive substrates and components. The natural oils and moisture of skin can vary from person to person and affect the "thumb appeal" of the 3M Acrylic Foam Tape. To one person the tape can feel very sticky and to another it can feel much less sticky to the touch. The difference in "thumb appeal" is in the variation of the 2 individual’s skin surfaces not the adhesive.

Q: What will the mounting disc stick to?

A: The mounting disc will stick to any clean, flat, non-porous surface. The area must be thoroughly cleaned prior to application as dirt will not allow the VHB tape to adhere properly to a surface. Once dirt sticks to the VHB it will no longer hold it’s rated capacity.
